1. What is your major?
Visual Arts Major
2. What operating system do you have on your computer?
OS: Mac 10.8 (Also windows vista)
3. Do you have the right to upgrade the software on your computer?
Yes
4. What Internet and computer related courses have you already taken and what are your usual activities on the Internet (Facebook, email, chats, etc.)?
Have not taken any Internet or computer related courses. Usual activities include web browsing, email, research.
5. Have you taken online courses before?
I have taken online courses before.
6. Do you have MS Office on your computer? If yes, which version?
I have microsoft office for for mac 2011.
7. Do yo work anywhere now?
I currently work full time as an apple technician.
8. When do you graduate?
Graduate Fa13
9. Add anything you want about your interests, skills, job projects, etc. that might help the instructor and students understand you and your computer/Internet skills and interests better.
Freelance photographer/graphic designer. Working as a technician and video engineer currently using mostly Mac hardware. Grew up using both PC/Mac.
10. What are your hobbies or what do you like to do outside of school and work ?
Like to learn to use unix (bash shell) in free time, and compose music.
Additional questions:
I am currently working at an Apple Authorized Reseller and Service Provider in Paramus (phew, what a mouthful). There I fix and replace apple products and teach lessons for new and intermediate users. My desired occupation would be in technical support for a large graphic arts facility or school, or anyplace where there is a ton of broken stuff to fix. I hope to graduate next semester. The greatest benefit of this type of course is the ability to work on assignments at night as I am usually tied up during the day working. Really enjoy being able to access the information from anywhere. Including work . Aside from my tech obsession, I really enjoy playing music and taking photographs.
